but it made no difference because they both stopped charging my phone and like someone else commented I had to hold pressure upwards … – Update: I thought take a minute tonight to let everyone know that I received an email from Anker re my previous post and they couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. They are replacing my cords at no cost to me and are not asking me to return the defective cords at this time. I will certainly do another update should there be any issues with the new cords, but I know now that Anker will honor a refund if the same issue should arise. I appreciated their respond to me during this holiday season. Based on customer service I upgraded my 1 star rating to 4. I’ll update again if cords work as expected.

Great charging speed, decent lifetime – For somebody like me who has an undesirable talent of things ending up with cords being yanked from walls and devices at least once a day, this cord has proven to be the best value for me as it still managed to last me 5 years before it stopped working with most cords usually only lasting a few weeks to a year and my 8th gen Fire HD 8″ (the only device I have used it for in the last 3 years) can charge from 5% to full x2 or x3 faster than it could with its included charging cable. the only thing that could make it better at this point is an optional 5-year extended warranty
