Not as it appears – First of all, the description says it’s a quick charge cable; it’s not. It will do fine for your low to mid draw devices, but if you’re wanting to use your cell phone while it’s charging, even with the backlight turned down, you’re going to be disappointed (for the record it was a Samsung Galaxy S8, so not a huge power draw in comparison to many other phones). I was otherwise satisfied with the cables until 2 days ago the USB-C tip in my cell phone bent while my phone was simply in my pocket not being abused. That’s when I decided to change back to my original cable and look for another brand to take care of my cell phone charging needs.

I found the C end for my phone does not fit tightly with the protective case on the phone, so I can’t leave the tip in the phone. Although it says they are compatible with most cases, I have a very simple case, but in order to remove the tip from my charging port, I have to completely remove my case which can bend the tip and make it non functional. Overall they’re very convenient, but unless they are widely used or you have enough to spread around your home, car, and workplace, you’ll be constantly taking out and reconnecting the tip.

I knew this and it’s a minus in my book but I wanted to see if they did a better and faster job of charging than my other cheaper cables. I think that they did while they worked, but now 1 connector is dead after 3 months. It did not work in my tablet or Switch as it had previously. It is the connector not the cable that is bad. While it comes with three of each type of connector, I only use the C connectors for all my products. So one set is useless now. I’ve never lost a connector of the regular type even after months of use but maybe I’ve been lucky. I do like the swivel capability of the cable though. Hopefully the other connectors will continue to work longer. I don’t know if they’re worth buying again because I’d like to be able to use any cable on any connector even if it’s not the correct speed. At least it works. Or maybe be able to buy connectors by themselves for these cables and have all my charging done by this type of cable. I will see if the other two connectors last before deciding that. Other than the one that crapped out, the other two have been fine.
