55″ OLED under $1k, never thought I see the day – I honestly never thought I see the day when a 55in LG OLED tv would be under $1k and my old 55in tv decided to die on me right around black friday…. Honestly if something was going to break this was the best time for it to happen. That all said, OLED is just so nice, the blacks just make everything look so much better. Pair that with my existing Nvidia Shield it really is a great setup.

Startlingly Good Picture – This is my first experience with OLED, and it still shocks me sometimes how lifelike it is. Motion is so fluid and blacks are perfect, even when surrounded by light colors. My previous screen had a dense LED backlight array and it still can not compare. Watching it in a dark room is ideal, but it still looks good in normal room lighting. If needed, the picture can be calibrated for a brightly lit environment.

Impressive image quality and motion processing – We were coming from a very nice Samsung KS8500 65″ which had 4K, HDR, and an 120hz panel. It was a very nice TV in 2016, but this B2 is on another level for picture quality and motion interpolation. 4K HDR content looks incredibly vivid and lifelike, and it runs great at 60hz with very natural motion smoothing. As with any TV, you will see some artifacts with the blur and judder reduction turned on, but it does a great job for being under $1,000. We use a Roku and take advantage of the HDMI ARC for our Yamaha home theater system. The TV communicated flawlessly out-of-the-box passing the signal through, turning on the system, and controlling the volume. We just use the Roku remote 95% of the time. Our Samsung was one of the brightest TV’s you could buy in 2016, but this TV appears even brighter to my eyes. We just let the TV choose its brightness levels and it works perfect in full brightness or full darkness. Very pleased!

Unbeatable OLED TV Deal – I just got this tv to replace my aging 65UH7700 and my eyes gotten tired of the grayish blooming in dark scenes. I’ve been wanting to jump the wagon to OLED but didn’t not want to spend the extra $$$. LG is now bringing this technology to the masses.

Great picture, set up a little tricky – Arrived quickly, beautiful picture, ULTRA THIN! . Only negative is set up is difficult and I’m still trying to get just the apps I want to come up on one screen for simplicity. Remote with “enter button” that becomes a flying arrow would be very difficult for someone with large fingers and is irritating. That should be made a feature that you can disable if you so desire.

It’s everything you want, for a better price than most.. – WELP.. it has completely surpassed all of our expectations, it feels like a movie theater now and the quality is just so incredibly crisp, the colors so brilliant, the motion so smooth. We have it all set up with our Google Home, I love the native integration so I don’t need to use a Google Chromecast device which would limit the frame rates down to 60hz. I have not hooked up my PC to it yet to test games out, but I have no doubt it will blow me out of the water. I have however connected a soundbar via E-Arc and it went super smoothly and seamlessly, highly recommend this TV to anyone looking for a solid, less expensive option than the C2

After a month I’m still impressed! – I did a lot of research online before I bought this TV. Specifically between this model and its slightly more powerful C2 model. When it was first released most of them were recommending the C2 because the price difference was pretty minimal, however when I bought it both models had been out for half a year and this model dropped more than just a couple hundred dollars. Combined with a Prime Day sale and I found myself looking at the best TV I’ve ever owned.
