both plug and cord are magnetic, not useful if working around metal – if you work around metal or metal dust both the cable end and phone plug end are magnetized, so they will collect grinder dust and debris and being metal will cause it to short. i bought this so i could keep the charging port closed and free of debris, would have worked perfectly if both ends were not magnetic. As mentioned with other comments its def not the quickest charger but gets the job done.

These have been great – These have been great. Everyone in my home had different types of devices and now we can all use the same cable. It comes with Micro, c and apple attachments. We put the 1 foot cable in the car. Put the 3 ft cables in open areas like the family room for everyone to use. Then gave our teenager a 6ft cable, and put the other six and ten ft cable next to our bed. The tool is easy to use to get them out. It’s like a little two prong fork. My husband has a case that covers the charge access and even with it plugged in it still closes. When we are not using them we have them attached to metal, like bedframes, magnets, our desk, etc. Then we never loose them cause we know where they are.
