Great length…no bending or fraying like some – I use my mobile phone for work and I frequently use it as a mobile hotspot for remote work. That uses up a lot of energy. And even though my battery lasts a long time with normal usage, for the purposes that I use my phone, the battery still drains relatively quickly. So these cables are a godsend for me. I love that they are long enough that when I’m working at my computer and I need to move around my office I can go to my file cabinet or go to my printer and still be on the phone as it charges. I don’t have to disconnect from the charger anymore when I need to get up and move a short distance. They also seem pretty sturdy. I bought similar cables from another company and they are okay but right at the base of the charging tip they started to fray. And they eventually went bad because the wires in them got broken. The Amazon picture actually shows this but I didn’t pay too much attention because I was just looking for extra long cables at a good price. But if you look at the picture you can see that these cables have a little coupling (or whatever term you want to use to call that little black thingy that sits right at the base of the metal part that houses the charging tip). This prevents the cable from bending and fraying where the cable meets the metal housing. This decreases the likelihood wires getting broken. This won’t mean much to people who plug in their phones to charge and let them sit there until charging is complete but for people who are actively using their phones and other Android devices while they are charging, this means a lot. I have purchased a similar style cable from another company that didn’t have this little coupling. I am on the last of them (which is what prompted this purchase). I have it in my bedroom and I connect it every night to my phone or tablet while checking email, browsing FB, playing games, using the Amazon app (which really drains my battery fast!), etc., etc. I’ve only been using it a month and it has already started fraying and the cable is permanently bent where the housing for the metal charging tip meets the cable. I suppose this is caused by me turning my phone or tablet sideways since a lot of apps that I use are viewed best in landscape View. When they start to do that, the life span on them is probably only another month or two before you’ll need a new one. I like these. They are sturdier.
