10 reviews for Sceptre 50″ Class FHD (1080P) LED TV

Amazing value on a solid 50″ – My 50″ Sceptre TV arrived yesterday afternoon and I will admit that once seeing the condition of the box, I was very worried about what condition the TV would be in once I opened it up. Lucky me, everything was fine. Knowing my UPS guy, I’m pretty positive – as was he – that this damage to the case happened before shipping. So that’s certainly something to think about.

Not a smart TV, but a very smart buy!!! – I originally ordered this TV because I wanted something bigger than what I had without having to blow almost an entire paycheck just to buy. Needless to say I wasn’t expecting much. But I was very pleasantly surprised. The picture quality is amazing as long as you aren’t a 4k snob. The menu to change settings is very easy to navigate and really straightforward. It has a built in surround sound. 3 HDMI ports, can plug into a PC, does not have a have coax output so those with a sound bar do have to buy an optical cord. The only downfall is the sound. Even with the surround sound mode you can’t turn it very high without it crackling. I personally have a sound bar hooked up to mine. Otherwise I absolutely love this TV!

Good tv- so far. – This tv is a good tv. I only gave the sound quality two stars, one of the two speakers went dead. I’ve learned and seen that on some TV’s 50″ and up, sooner than later you might loose a speaker and it’s not from extra high volume.

Not bad for the price! – I got this TV and was nervous it was going to show up broken seeing how other reviewers mentioned it, But I got lucky and mine was in pristine condition, The TV out of the box has all your mounts and screws and they even threw in a screwdriver for installing the stands which I didnt use. Wall mounting the TV was a piece of cake, I was able to do it by myself but really would recommend you do it with 2 people.

My First Impressions, I received this TV 2 days ago – $200 for a 50″ TV is an amazing deal. Is it “Too Good to be True?” NO! The TV was easy to set up. I did not need to adjust the factory pre-sets. I attached it to a table top stand and hooked it into my Polk Audio/Yamaha Aventage 2060 5.1 surround system. This set replaces a 32″ Sceptre set that just died after 4.5 years.
