Okay TV, but disappointing. – m/m: Sony KD-75 X80J, 75″, 2021

– While the picture quality is wonderful I am really disappointed that Sony does not support Bell as a cable / satellite provider and thus, I cannot program the remote to turn the receiver on and off or change the channels. As a result I am stuck with multiple remotes to work my tv, satellite receiver and audio surround sound. 3 remotes. In this day and age this should not be the result. We also had to contact support to reset tv as it did not set up properly the first time. The support person was excellent and all was well once he was done.

As expected, the TV picture quality is amazing and the sound is good to, even when not using my sonny soundbar.

While there was nothing wrong with the other TV, I wanted to get the most out of PS5 games and my growing collection of 4K UHD Blu-ray discs. I didn’t have a large budget. While I read roundly negative reviews about this TV, I only buy Sonys. I know there are legions of LG and Samsung fans (and TCL is apparently getting a lot of attention), but the Sony TVs I’ve owned have been across-the-board reliable with the best color reproduction. I sold TVs and stereos during college and our Sony TVs were always the best… of course that was 25 years ago in days of 4×3 glass boxes and 480i. So, did I make a mistake?

– Great size, gorgeous picture quality. Colors are fantastic! Apple TV works great, 4k looks amazing, PlayStation games look outstanding. However, big big problem, it has a hard time with USB hard drives. It won’t even read my 8TB My Book, it will the 6 TB one but only after waiting several minutes for all the files to load. My old HD Sony Bravia 40 Inch TV from 6 years ago reads 8TB hard drive at the speed of light, there is no excuse for this. I wanted an upgrade and I got a fail. When you spend a thousand bucks on a TV you expect EVERYTHING to work. There are no 3 stars or 4 stars, you get 5 stars or you get nothing…this TV gets nothing.
