Purchased for a friend to replace her old tube TV – I’ve gotten a bit jaded, so it’s easy to forget what a huge step forward 4K TVs are from the old CRT days. I got this for a friend who was getting rid of her ancient CRT TV. She was simply blown away by the picture quality. II was also a perfect fit for the relatively small space left in her bookcase by the old TV. With the ever-expanding sizes of newer TVs, it’s easy to forget that there are still a lot of folks out there who neither want nor need massive screens; good to see this market is still being served.

Don’t leave it on all night – The tv is great expecially for the price, my wife and I have two birds and we work a lot, so we leave the tv on while we are out for the birds to have sound, 2 months later the screen just went black, I know it’s not an ideal situation but this is for the ppl that like to leave it on for noise, just giving a heads up, also Amazon allowed us to return it and get a new one, I guess it was cheaper to refund us to get a new one than to send a return label and have us ship it back to them, but overall I would give this tv 9 out of 10 . I would give Amazon customer service 10-10 for standing by their customers

Good for the price. – We bought this 55″ TLC to replace a 60″ RCA Roku that died suddenly after two and a half years. Arrived quickly with a few dings in the box but the TV was in perfect condition. Set up went quite quickly and easily. The picture is very good–no complaints!–but the sound quality is quite poor. We have to turn it up pretty high. Having said that I will say that for $300 bucks we’re not complaining since sudden death seems to be a feature of plasma TVs and we figure we’ll having to replace this one soon enough.

Great TV – I have a 55″ TCL TV and it has been very good. I just bought a 50″ and it is great, especially considering the price. But TCL, like many other companies (like Verizon), does not change their telephone script for holidays. I called with a simple question 4 times on Friday, Veterans Day, when most companies are open. Each call resulted in a longer wait time for a specialist and I chose the call back option. Nothing. Frustrating. Three and a half hours to hold for help? NOT. Then I called again on Saturday and low and behold I received a call back and we resolved my minor issue. So I changed my rating from 1 to 4. It would be 5 if they just turned off their answering menu when they are closed! Picture very good, sound just middling. Setup easy peasy.
