Lost and found – I bought this remote when the ultimate tragedy took place – my kids lost the remote. I looked and looked and looked for it – nowhere to be found! I ordered this to restore order and peace to family night, only to find the original remote as soon as the new one shipped. This remote has become the backup, in case of emergency, remote.

I’ll give it a four – It worked automatically with my Samsung Smart TV. No set up necessary. I also like that it’s similar to the original tv remote that crapped out. As some noted it is loud when you click the buttons and took more time than it should to get the back off to add batteries. We will see how well it holds up as I just got it today.

Works but loud – Gave it four stars because it does what it says and doesn’t continually disconnect like the previous aftermarket remote that we had. That said, the buttons are not soft touch like the OEM Samsung remote so there is a very audible click. Enough to make you think twice about using this next to a sleeping spouse. For that, I docked a star.

Buy Three! – OK, there isn’t anything special about these replacements. But, when the dog decides it’s a chew toy, or it just wears out (it will), waiting for one or getting a generic at the box store, just doesn’t cut it. Pro tip: always have spare remotes in one cabinet drawer for all your TVs, satellite, add ons, etc. When you pull out the last one, order more. My only complaint is you can’t get the remote to work on audio if you are using an optical cable. I have a non Samsung sound bar and it’s a no go. However, everything is fine if you use the HDMI (Arc) connections. All my HDMI ports are full (satellite, Roku, audio, and GeoChron) so if there is another, I’ll have to go optical.
