Overall, good product. Couple smaller issues. – I ordered this mount to hang my Vankyo projector and installing it was relatively simple. The instructions don’t contain many words, mostly just pictures, but it’s easy to follow. The only issues I found were 1) the mount comes with several sets of small screws to fit different projector types (for where it actually attaches to the projector) but the M3 screws (smallest ones) weren’t long enough to reach the threading in my projector. They are 8mm and I needed longer so I just went to Home Depot and bought some for about a dollar that were 12mm long and they worked perfectly. And 2) the mount sits flush with whatever you bracket it to with only a small slot in the drop-down part for cords. If you’re planning to run the cords through the drop-down and then out of the top of the mount, you’ll have to either run the cables through whatever you mount to as well, or make a small notch for it to run through so it will sit flush. I was able to fix this by cutting a hole in the board I attached it to (above a drop-down ceiling). Overall, not really big issues, but just a few things to be aware of. Quality seems good and it’s rock solid once installed.

Hanger for sale or rent – This product is a well engineered hanger. The slide in the extension is great. It was missing one nut, an M-M. Was able to substitute the same size with a bolt and nut combination. The instructions are easy to understand and well laid out. There aren’t any written instructions. That is usually a plus.

Modified setup option – For my setup I ended up having to remove the center bar. That is not the fault of the manufacturer but my own. There is a full size florescent light about 1 ft away from the where the projector had to be mounted. In the end it worked perfectly, after removing the bar and rigging everything together it was exactly the distance I needed. If you’re going to try this, you should note it’s not meant to be done. It’s harder to set up this way and it removes some of the mounts features. For me it was perfect.

It was missing pieces – I purchased this as an open box product. It didn’t have all the pieces in it unfortunately. I had previously purchased one of these and loved it. So I figured with the guarantee of the open box I’d get the same quality. Honestly its a great product but I have it 3 stars for missing parts in mine.

Sturdy, sleek, affordable mount that does exactly what you need – I bought this mount for my Optoma HD141x; it looks and works great! Assembly was easy, and the included wall anchors did the trick since I don’t have a ceiling stud at the mounting location. Unfortunately one of the screw holes was stripped, so the set screw wouldn’t tighten fully. But most set screws install in pairs so the mount is nevertheless sturdy and I was able to easily align the projected image to my screen.
