This thing is BRIGHT! – First off — this thing VERY bright! If you’re going from an HD to 4K TV like I did, you’re going to see a MASSIVE difference in brightness (lumens). I’ve spent a number of hours tweaking the settings from Smartcast menu’s, external audio, visuals and so-on. My impression is that if you like to tweak a system for the best possible visuals for your own personal preferences, this is going to be an excellent TV. If you’re a consumer who just wants to “plug in and go” — there may be a few items you’d want to tweak, but MOST of the defaults are fine. The one I want to call out specific attention to is enabling the “reduce noise” setting — there seemed to be some visual artifacts when moving from bright to dark scenes that seemed to take a second to “come in to focus” that after enabling this seemed to clear that up.
