Works on 2023 GMC Sierra – Bought a new 2023 GMC Pro that only comes with the 7″ screen and wired AA only. I have a Pixel 4a running Android 13 and could not get wired to work so I gave this a shot. At first, this would not work either so I was very disappointed and almost sent it back.

Much better than plugging in each ride – I just received this today but have drove enough after install to leave a honest review.

Great engineering – This is the second single I try. Not the cheapest but worth every penny. I have a Kia Telluride. The car turns off power to the data USB about 5 mins after the car is turned off, the the power is temporarily returned for about 5 mins, every 90 mins, when the Kia cloud pings the car for a data update. Thus is a weird design choice, but I guess they weren’t thinking of wireless Android auto when they designed it. With the other dongle, every time the car turned power to the data USB, my phone connected to Android Auto, which kicked me off my home wifi (very annoying). The AAWireless doesn’t do that. It does come on every 90 mins, and does establish connection with my phone, but it doesn’t actually fire up Android auto until it detects the car’s head unit is on, hence it doesn’t kick me off my home wifi. This is such a simple, but impactful design choice. They do have a auto start/stop option one can select to make the dongle only start when the phone connects to the car’s Bluetooth, but this caused a few random disconnects for me, so I’ve left it off for now.

Works better than cable. – I have 2 of these now. I bought the first one during Prime Day for myself. I have a 2018 Accord and Samsung Galaxy S21fe and was having connection issues constantly with the wired Android auto. I tried this and have had very few problems. I had to make sure I was disconnected from HondaLink Bluetooth during initial setup but after that HondaLink is no problem. I have had to unplug it s few times to get it to reset. On time was after I walked out of range to grab something in the house. The connection time when I start the car can be a bit long, but I experienced the same with the wired connection at times. Most of the time it connects quickly. My second aa wireless is for my wife. She has a galaxy s9 and it works great with her Odyssey so far no issues in daily use. I did have the same issue with HondaLink during set up but once I disconnected that it was smooth to set up. I have updated both units to the latest firmware which was a breeze with the partner app from the play store. I really haven’t even dug into the other options available with the app since it just works after the initial setup.
