Cable Is Fine- Be Careful with Specs – “Refresh rate: up to 1080/60hz” – this confusing line means it will not support anything above 60hz. Be sure you know this before buying the cable, as it isn’t immediately obvious otherwise that it will not support 144hz monitors. Fortunately for me, I needed DVI to DP on a 60hz monitor, so the cable was perfect for that.

Comparison with Cablelera Cable – We acquired a number of new PCs in one of our student labs, and the new PCs came with DisplayPort rather than VGA, HDMI, or DVI connectors. We had been using DVI before, so I acquired one each of this adapter cable and the Cablelera DisplayPort to DVI Cable (ZC2610MM-03) for comparison.

Basic packaging but quality cable – This comes in a ‘second chance’ type of bag. I suspect that Amazon orders these by the case and they repackage them. Doesn’t matter: the cable is high quality and costs around $10. Works great and is good value. If you want fancy packaging and instructions: buy elsewhere. If you know what you need and don’t care about packaging: buy this.

Disappointingly Cheap – I bought a bunch of Amazon Basics DVI-DVI cables a few years back and was impressed by their robustness. These are honestly pathetic in comparison; tiny wires, cheap plastic, and rubbery thumbscrews. The DisplayPort connector doesn’t have a locking tab and there is no ferrule in sight. I’m honestly surprised it works at all; I’d be ashamed to put my brand on such a mediocre product. This will definitely be my last Amazon Basics purchase!

It works – I’ve had it from 2018-2022 and I have no complaints about the quality of the cable. This outlasted numerous other cables for display port and HDMI that I’ve bought from various other sellers. The only “issue” I have is its only 3 feet and obviously that limits you pretty heavily so make sure you know your parameters.
