Better that LG’s original remote control. – The original remote control has a wheel to scroll up and down. and push down to select; i.e. dual role. HOWEVER, this little wheel sunk inside the remote unit and made it useless. Get this one. It is simple, solid and it works.

Works better than manufacturer supplied remote – My wife could not see the small buttons on the manufacturer provided remote. I found this on Amazon. The buttons are clearly marked. It did not need programmed. It worked immediately after installing batteries. So we are very happy with it. And it was not expensive.
