Works Great – I bought this because I have an old DynexTV (Best Buy House Brand) that the remote is working sporadically. I can confirm that this remote works perfectly on that Dynex with the first code I put in from the owner’s manual. The problem with the old remote was that the input buttons at the top were not working. This Philips universal remote solved that problem completely. Very pleased.

I am now in control. And lovin’ it. – The remote for one of our TVs died, so I purchased the Philips Universal Remote Control to replace it. After a brief set-up I found that it controls the volume and channels. Works well, easy to set up, and does all I would expect it to do. It is very reasonably priced.

Better than most – I had the Logitech remote and when that died I bought a Sofabaton because I thought it would do the same activities but cheaper I was so frustrated with the Sofabaton and since my wife does better with less technology, I thought I’d try this Phillips remote The price was unbelievable so I figured I couldn’t go too far wrong but I found I was so impressed I have a Samsung Smart TV and Samsung sound bar so having it preprogrammed for both was great I have Magnavox DVD and DirectTv box and both worked on the first code tried Everything working great within 10 minutes Can’t beat it!

It comes with a booklet of common codes and has a feature that tries to autodetect the code for the receiver. The auto feature didn’t work so well for me, so I had to try a few of the codes for the manufacturer of my device. I circled the code since the booklet says that if the batteries die, the programming gets reset. I like being able to control so many devices in one remote.
