Won’t control TV sound – Replacing Amazon Fire Stick Remote. My current fire remote controls my TV sound & power, no problem. Yet this new remote will not learn my TV codes from the old fire remote or from my TV remote. They have a “Note:” in the manual that this new remote will not learn IR dynamic codes?? I’m “assuming” that this is the problem, but not sure.

Easy to use and set up (Better instructions will earn this 5 stars) – My previous remote just started getting wonky. Beside that, I’d worn all of the labels off of the buttons, and my wife, who rarely uses the remotes was constantly lost as to which button did what. So I got one of these and ended up with one similarly wonky. So I returned that one and ordered a replacement.

Kind of works, but not really – I was able to program this to my soundbar, projector and FireTV. Apparently the one trick that is not mentioned in the manual is to program all other devices before programing the remote to work on your fireTV. The good: I was able to control volume down, channel up and channel down but for some reason the volume up and the power buttons would not program. Hopefully everyone else has better luck.
