Had to use google assist in order to set up…. – The instructions that come with this are a joke, it says steps 1-3, if they don’t work, repeat steps 1-3, which, as you might deduce, puts you into a lather, rinse, repeat loop of endlessly following steps 1-3. There’s nothing that says if it still doesn’t work try ______ instead.

Good replacement for original remote for FireCube Gen2 – The remote that came with the FireCube Gen 2 started getting very sluggish after a couple years. This unit is more responsive. Set-up took a couple tries but it paired just fine. An instruction sheet came with it, but no batteries. I am satisfied with the results.

Quite Nice – I had the luxury of finding my original remote whle struggling to get this paired. Extremely easy when you are able to access the on screen Prime settings on the T.V. with the old one. Couldn’t navigate there with the new one ,only a few functions were paired not all of them. If you can get to the settings there is a function that says ” add a second remote” . I did that and worked well. The new one actually seems faster than the old one. I am going to use this new one and keep the original as a spare. Yes I know it is an aftermarket product and not an original OEM but who cares if it works well. 4 stars because not sure if I could get it working without the old remote.

Dog chewed our original one – Our dog chewed our original fire stick remote , which then we were not able to use the TV without it. I looked on Amazon and found this replacement remote and figured I would give it a try before ordering a whole new fire stick. I have to say the price is almost equivalent of that if you were to buy a brand new fire stick ( on sale) however I was desperate and needed something fast, we did not need a whole new fire stick. This came within the same day (just hours later) and worked great. Was easy to set up with our existing fire stick. We have had it for a little over two months now and still works great ! Highly recommend
