As others have said about the sturdiness of hardware, my drywall apparently isn’t that great (really dry and crumbly) and the plastic anchors were spinning while hand screwing the screw into the base plate.

Works, but kludgy – I bought both the Sanus and the Flexson to mount a Sonos 1 high on the wall. The reviewer who said the Sanus seemed like it was back-engineered for the One was right. The Sanus works: It holds the speaker securely right-side-up or upside-down. But the design is super-clunky. The wire brackets are fussy and the clamps that hold them won’t stay shut unless they’re screwed down. It’s a kludgy adaptation of a product that was designed for the Play: 1. That model had a 3/8″ screw hole for mounting. On more recent Sonos models, the hole is gone and reset button is in that spot. In my house, I need to reset the speaker fairly often—for some reason it gets confused. On the Sanus, the reset button is covered by the bracket It’s a real pain to reset the speaker. Also, the vaunted “invisi-grip” is, as suggested by the name, very visible. And the fat curved arm that holds it to the wall is ungraceful. I will say that the bracket that mounts to the wall is well-designed. It’s very sturdy and secure, yet the speaker easily slides on and off the wall. The speaker pivots in the bracket, so it mounts to the wall in the same way whether you want it right side up or upside down.

A Little Flimsy, But Nice – Used for a Sonos Play One SL. Interesting that the speaker when mounted up high is mounted upside down. The button on the back of the speaker is obstructed, but reachable with the provided “tool”. Can’t put mount too close to the ceiling because to attach speaker you need to slide down from above and it requires a pretty good slide distance. The speaker attachment feels a little flimsy, but that could just be because there’s no way to tighten the swivel side to side mechanism; just the up and down can be tightened. There is some tension from side to side, so it take a little force to move it. The tension rings used to secure the speaker make me nervous about damaging it, but they seem to fit well and do a good job at securing it.
