Excellent Value!! – The reviews are right when they say that it is an excellent TV but that the speakers are not that great. Here is what I did: I hooked up a set of computer speakers that included a sub woofer. I got a really nice mini-home theater system for cheap! (Or, you could add a wired sound bar.) Either way this TV is an excellent value – just perfect for small spaces!!

Maybe, just a tad too small for my bedroom. – Average quality. The sound is tinny sounding. Had to add sound bar. After that it was much better. It wasn’t very compatible with my Direct TV setup. Couldn’t pair my remote with the sound bar and Direct TV remote.

Decent video quality but terrible audio quality – Pretty decent picture quality, using this in the kitchen so its not the main viewing tv but more than adequate, but the speakers are so weak and tinny the volume had to be at max to hear anything and still it sounded like pop cans in a big empty room. Had no choice but to buy a soundbar so factor in another 40 dollars to the purchase price for a decent enough soundbar.

Easy to set up with our DirecTV receiver – We needed to replace a failed TV quickly, in time for March Madness. This TV worked right out of the box, just needed to plug in the electrical and the HDMI cable. Great picture and sound was fine because this little TV is used with a headphone alongside a bigger TV. All set for the big games!

HDTV? – Honestly, these days, HDTV’s have became the standard in all of our homes. But that has left more brands out there which think they do provide better, become more like foreigners, because they are not as much recognized brands as like a company like Toshiba or Panasonic. But also, you have to really do a lot of homework to find the best HDTV for your needs, in height, measurement & quality. SO when it was time for me to seek a new HDTV, after my Sylvania went kaput. I really had to start from scratch in price, and convenience as well. When I went shopping on Black Friday,I did see a simple HDTV from a unknown company called Sceptre. It seemed like a good idea to go for, because the price was simple. But, overall after a few months of using it, I have finally made my choice in reviewing it. The results, are really a few extra bells & whistles that are needed to make it more complete in value.
