Good Deal – This T.V. has a really beautiful picture, glad I caught it on sale, quite a serious deal, thank you Amazon

Solid TV – It’s pretty much all you need of you want a big 4k TV. My only complaints would be lack of controlability, the settings and controls are lack luster and could use more options and the response time could be faster but aside from that no compaints

Spend the extra $ and get a higher quality television – Great display though. – The display itself is fantastic. Pictures are vivid and the 4k content almost ruins TV/movies because of how clear it is! You can see every wrinkle or imperfection on all these attractive actors and actresses. So that’s the good part of the television. It DOES display very well. The audio I cannot speak to as I’ve been using a soundbar since day 1. I did have a problem watching Bullet Train with the audio becoming de-synchronized with the soundbar but the settings do allow for setting audio delays positive and negative which helped. Onto the negative: SLOW! Oh. my. God. This TV is so incredibly slow at loading even the home screen. It takes several seconds for the content screenshots to load up every time. You CAN NOT turn on the TV from smart devices. If the TV is turned off, the google home devices claim that it is not available. This was practically the ENTIRE reason I chose the Google TV over the Roku. You cannot change the audio with smart devices if you’re using an “external audio device.” despite being able to change the volume with the remote. For some reason, it buries the most popular apps behind a submenu like Peacock creating extra steps for accessing your streaming services.

Reasonably decent, but a misstep in my TCL experience. – I’ve had 2 TCL TV’s before and they’ve been great – I suspect the difference might be related to the fact that my previous versions were Roku TV’s and this one is a Google TV. In the past, the Roku-based TV’s were quick to respond, ran quite smoothly, and the interfaces were really good for making changes to picture quality (i.e. as you adjusted the tint, you can see the effect pretty clearly). I suspect the Google interface is the problem here as it is remarkably laggy/crashes, much more than my experience with Android phones. Sifting through menus has a noticeably delay between each item, and you’re guaranteeing a system freeze/hang if you sift too fast.

Has it’s issues, but great value – I love Google TV over Roku, but this TV has software problems. It is laggy on the home screen, in apps, and sometimes will drop frames when watching content causing jittering. In order to watch anything in a decent manner you have to re-calibrate all the settings for every type of content (sdr hdr hlg Dolby). Once you get it tuned, it is excellent for the $400 you spend.

65 inch TCL TV – The cost was reasonable as I purchased it for $608 including taxes. It has a very nice picture and you can download different apps. However, it can be a bit challenging to navigate from local cable to different services. So far the TV has frozen up only once and I had to turn the power off for about 30 seconds and then it began to work again. I have not used any tech support yet so I will not comment on that service.

Off to a rocky start UPDATED – Package came in nicely. No dents or messed up box. Got it wall mounted and turned it on. There are several light cracks all over the screen and bad pixels. It also emits a smell of a electrical fire when turned on. I quickly unplugged it and called Amazon and they will send me out a replacement in 2 days. I will update my review after I receive the replacement.
