A must have if you’re starting out with vinyl and don’t want or need a more expensive machine – Honestly with how much it has in it? The package is probably the best value cleaning kit on Amazon, just a warning that the velvet brush is rather small, its passable, but you’d do better with a larger one

Truly an Ultimate set! – When Hudson Hi-Fi advertises this kit as an “ultimate record cleaning set” they really mean ultimate. Some product sellers will charge you about as much for just a velvet record brush and a small dropper bottle of distilled water as I paid for this entire set. For daily play of your collection and general record maintenance, I can’t recommend this kit highly enough – it’s certainly the best value I’ve seen anywhere for all that you receive! Hudson is *very* generous in the amount of cleaning solution they send (but definitely pay attention to the warning that you should NOT use the cleaning stuff on your old shellac ’78s!) and all of the tools you get are great quality. The only way this set could *possibly* be more ultimate is if it included a cleaning machine without changing the price!

Beware, the cleaning liquid may leave some residue and make your records sound worse – The kit is a good one generally, but the liquid for record cleaning is a horrible one – it leaves some kind of residue, that solidifies and gunks up the grooves.

Getting started or getting serious about your records? – I’ve recently upgraded my turntable, and felt like it was time to also have a proper setup. Enter this kit. There were some other that had some of the items this has, but not everything. I was concerned about the quality of the bundle I’d be receiving. But those disappeared after I opened it up. It’s got everything I could need and great instructions and what everything does. Whether you’re just starting out, or taking your vinyl appreciation to the next level, this is a kit I would, and have, definitely recommended.

Clean vinyl with ease – First vinyl cleaning kit I have bought and it does a great job. Easily removes normal dust from packaging and the heavier residue found when it’s been stored away for a long time. Anti-static brush does a good job knocking out the majority of static charge sometimes found on new vinyl. I would definitely buy this package again!
