It will enable you to get rid of the Ethernet cords on the floor or set up a computer where a network cable cannot be run, assuming your wireless modem can deliver the signal. Works for me. – Just moved into a new place and it was going to be a major operation to run a cable to my desktop. This looked like a viable solution. So far it is working great. I don’t do any online gaming, but streaming videos is buffering free. My desktop has a CD drive, and the unit comes with a mini CD with the drivers on it. If your computer does not take CDs, I’m not sure how you would upload the drivers. They are available online, but if you are buying this unit that does not help you. In my case, I simply inserted the disk, clicked on the exe file and done.
