Got it covered – These are covers for the remote, so I couldn’t check the remote box or sound control box for stars other than “easy to use” ?. I can say the covers do not interfere with the controls on the remote. I am happy with the purchase, bright colors make them easy to find, where these remotes are good at hiding without them.

Makes Remote Easier to Handle – If you buy because they are supposed to glow, forget it. Maybe they do, but only if left in light more mine are. Otherwise, they make finding and groping the remotes easier. They keep me from accidentally hitting the mute button when using them.

Happy with them. – I got these to help distinguish between everyone’s remotes in the house. We all have Roku tvs. The kids tend to carry the remote with them then bicker at times over whose is whose. These will help. Theirs are part of a Christmas present so I haven’t tested them out yet. However, I kept the purple one for my room because it stated it didn’t glow and I wanted theirs to. The purple does glow actually, despite the description saying only the sky blue and green do. I had to charge them in the sunlight or with a flashlight right on them. I was pleasantly surprised that mine does too. Maybe not as much as the others but it does. I also got key finders and attached them on the little holes towards the bottom of the case. The volume button aren’t fully lined up but it’s not an issue for me. I can still use those buttons. The case is just a bit big right there and overlaps a tiny bit. Not at all a deal breaker. I did wash them off before use.

Great for dark rooms but doesn’t fit earlier model remotes – I didn’t expect these covers to glow as well as they do but they really do glow in the dark. I had bought them because I have two separate Roku devices (a Roku flat screen and an adapter rigged to an old tube TV) in the same room and was getting the remotes confused. These fit very nicely if your remote is the most up-to-date model that comes with the newer Roku devices. If you’re not sure which yours is, the old remotes are glossy and the new remotes are matte. Though you can make these work on an older remote, the older remotes are a little smaller and move around a lot in the case. I got mine to fit by putting some paper in the bottom of the case and around the edges to create a tighter fit. It fit perfectly on my newer remote, though. I’d definitely recommend these if you have one of the matte-textured remotes.
