Good quality – They weren’t lying when they said the cord is soft and very flexible. It’s almost like a wet noodle. Feels and looks like high quality. Glad I bought 2 during the cyber week sale, which was even cheaper than Black Friday. Quality is very good and my phone charges very fast. I think the battery might charge faster with this cable compared to the shorter one that came with my pixel phone.

Powerful charging along with incredibly durable, anti-tangle coating make this a winner – I have another cord of this type with which I have had absolutely no problems when the coatings on other cords broke, the wires bent, and they were constantly tangling, the 6′ Anker cord charges fast, bends well, doesn’t tangle, and has a self fastener to keep it tamed when it’s wound up for storage. (I also like the braided cords for durability, but find I prefer these for the silicone coating which helps prevent tangling.) I needed to replace the charging cord for my MacBook Plus, as the last one had a cracked coating, and I wanted a 3′ cord so I wouldn’t be tripping over or otherwise pulling the cord out and stressing it, as well as for the faster charging time, so I ordered this one. I love that I can get these in nice colors, and chose one to match – it makes it easier to pick out these, my favourite charging and connecting cords when faced with a handful of mixed options.

I’ve been using one of these cords for more than a year now, and I’ve slowly replaced all of my and my mother’s (now defunct) USB-C cables with more of these. I still wouldn’t purposefully bend and twist them more than you have to, but they stand up better to ordinary use than any of the other cables I’ve bought, and so far all of the Anker cables are still working. Even if you have to spend a little more, these cables are likely to save you money in the long run with their durability.

Fast charges Pixel 6 – After upgrading to the Pixel 6 in the spring I realized that some of my charging cords didn’t fast charge, and sometimes didn’t charge at all. I first replaced the charging bricks but then realized that it was the cord. After reading *a lot* of reviews, I saw that this cord mentioned the Pixel 6 and fast charge. It works! My phone can now get charged from the odd places in my home that don’t have convenient power.

Expen$ive But Worth It – I really like these cables, and wish that more cables could be made using silicon jacketing. Unlike their PVC and woven nylon cousins, they are very flexible and can be coiled up in a much tighter radius, taking up far less space. I also did some performance testing, comparing them to other Gen 2 cables, and found them to be every bit as good. I have one criticism, though. The colors need to be bolder. I use colors to differentiate which cable is plugged into which device, but with the exception of the black, white, and yellow, the rest of the colors are pretty washed out. In less than full light, for example, I can barely tell the difference between the light blue and the green. They are also a bit pricy, but you have to pay a premium price if you want a premium product. And given the other advantages, I can live with that.

There is a removeable silicone band to tie the cable up for neat storage.
