Recommended. – I connect this item to TV box that has usb slot, but not wired internet option (works with Wi-Fi). By connecting that item I had an option to connect internet wire and not to lose the USB. Very happy with the item.

Center Piece of my Media Player – I like it – I velcro’d it to the bqck of my TCL tv and plugged it in to the usb media port, then I plugged 2 hard drives (hard drives have their own usb power supply on them) into Technet adapter. Now I got 2 1/2 T of movies, music videos, Pics, etc….& it works great.

It stopped working but company was very nice to replace. – It just stopped working before it’s 1 year anniversary but the company, Cable Creations was very nice to replace the unit. We have a couple of others that are still working just fine.

Worked – I ordered this because a usb-c with the rj-45 adapter stopped working. This seems to work very well. I plugged it in and it worked, it became warm after about 5-10 minutes, but not hot to the touch. I have used for about 2 days and although it is warm to the touch not overly so. I even had a usb plugged in for a laptop cooler fan and it still did not become overly warm. Hopefully it will continue to work with no problems.

But if we plug in wireless mouse+keyboard dongle/receiver to one of the ports, the mouse does not work well especially for Windows laptop. Works ok on a linux laptop. However, I found a workaround. It is to use an usb extension chord and plug in the mouse+keyboard dongle/receiver to that and keep it away from the Ethernet Adapter. That works fine for me.
