Stud finder of wall mounts (Can work with 3 studs!) – Lots of reviews have been written on this product so what can one say that hasn’t already been written? First, this model of wall mount is the only one I could fine that would work across 3 or more studs. While other units have a 16-inch wall plate and an additional 8-inch wall plate. This is the only model wall mount I could find that would allow you to bolt multiple kits together to make an infinitely long wall mount! In the zoomed-out picture attached you can see how I combined 2 of the same kits to overcome the dreaded center stud problem. Thus, the picture shows a longer than normal wall mount into 3 studs (centered) using 6 of the 8 supplied lag bolts. The other zoomed-in picture is showing how everything bolts together with the supplied hardware. Conclusion: Yes, this solution requires to you to purchase 2 kits, but you can put a wall mounted TV any place you want and be in 3 studs that are either 24 or 16 inch spaced. Ultimately, I will let you decide but this worked really well for my situation and basically cost the same when you take into account the additional purchase of heavy-duty wall anchors.
