      Works out of the box easily. – I’m using this on Lenovo laptop w/ Windows 10. Plugged it in to the USB port and connected it to ethernet cable connected to my router, and you have connectivity. As easy as that. No problem at all.

      Works well – When I got a new laptop, an ultra light, I was surprised that there was no standard RJ-45 ethernet jack on it! Also, the company (LG) no longer provided a dongle for connecting to RJ-45 via a USB port as standard equipment – and they want big bucks for one they will sell you – what happened to customer service? Go figure. Yes, the laptop has built-in WiFi. However, for really fast speed, and security, an ethernet cable connection can’t be beat (yet). The laptop did have several USB 3 ports, so I needed this adapter. The only thing I noticed that may be a bit of a ‘con’ was there seems to be a few seconds of delay from the time the ethernet cable is plugged in to the time the network is available, however that may be due to the laptop and not the adapter, and anyway it is not a big deal.

I had already installed a wireless card in it, so i never noticed that my ethernet port on the mobo was broken… Luckily this came in a pinch for not a bad price. I plugged it in, worked instantly with no installation, and convinced the software I was on a wired connection.

      Chipset Realtek RTL8153 worked with Sony X95J, Getting 700/300Mbps DL/UL, turn your tv Wi-Fi off. – Tried UE306 and it was on a different chipset. I ordered this and plugged it. Didn’t work the first time. It detected Ethernet as soon as I turned the Wi-Fi off. However it looked like it was going to get detected even with the Wi-Fi on had I have the patience to wait a couple minutes more. Sine it was working and I don’t care about Wi-Fi, I didn’t spend time going that route.
